In this OT Connected webinar, we welcomed two guest speakers—Mark Evin, Co-Founder and CEO of Ludica Health, and Courtney Richards, CEO of DME Connected. Both turned experiences in their lives into unique insights and developed tools to address some of the most persistent pain points OTs face: keeping clients engaged and making follow-through manageable across care settings.
This webinar offered an inside look at the origin stories and clinical applications of each tool—built not in theory, but in response to real-world breakdowns in continuity of care. Strong demos are in the video and cant really be replicated in words, so give it a view and then get to using them straight from the Partners Tab here in OT Connected!

LudoFit: Movement-Based Engagement Through Therapist-Controlled Gaming
Presented by Mark Evin, LudoFit is a gamified movement platform designed to help clients stay physically active at home. Originally built in collaboration with healthcare providers, the platform integrates motion tracking, personalized activity programming, and remote monitoring—giving OTs a way to keep clients engaged outside of sessions while still tracking outcomes.
Key Features:
- Activities are adjustable in real time to match the client’s skill level and needs
- Clients can use standard webcams or tablets, making the setup accessible and scalable
- Therapists get data on participation, performance, and progression—all in one dashboard
Evin emphasized how LudoFit aims to reduce the drop-off in home exercise compliance. By delivering a game-like experience that still feels clinically purposeful, the tool enhances motivation without requiring additional in-person time.
DME Connected: A Simplified Workflow for Durable Medical Equipment
Courtney Richards, CEO of DME Connected, introduced a platform designed to fix the common bottlenecks in recommending and securing durable medical equipment. Built from firsthand experience in the DME industry, the tool is a response to the often-fragmented communication between therapists, suppliers, and clients.
What It Solves:
- No more tracking emails, PDFs, or verbal orders—the process is centralized
- Therapists can build and share DME recommendations with clients and vendors through one platform
- Everyone involved can monitor fulfillment status, making follow-up easier and more transparent
Richards described DME Connected as a solution that supports clinical efficiency without removing the therapist from the process.
Why It Matters
While neither speaker is an OT, both LudoFit and DME Connected were created in response to needs voiced directly by clinicians. Their products don’t try to replicate clinical reasoning—they support it. Each tool was built to solve a practical problem OTs have repeatedly named: lack of time, poor client follow-through, and inefficient processes for delivering care and recommendations.
This session reminded us that technology can amplify the value of OT—not by replacing our work, but by helping us do more of what matters with fewer barriers.
